    Learn the Art of Blackboard Drawing for the Steiner Classroom

    A self-paced online course

    In Steiner schools, we use colour and creativity as a curative approach, one that helps the child experience the curriculum from an inner feeling and not just an intellectual understanding. It is from these blackboard drawings in a Steiner classroom that much of the exciting curriculum is presented, bringing lesson content to life.

    Presented by Raphaela Mazzone, this 6-hour course will guide participants through a series of online sessions to assist educators in developing the skills and confidence to use blackboard drawing to enrich their lessons.

    Course length: 6 hours self-paced online learning for accredited PD

    Developed out of the growing demand for Steiner/Waldorf Childcare, this comprehensive part-time course aims to equip Parents, Educators, childcare providers, and playgroup leaders with the essential tools to create a warm and nourishing environment for the children in their care.

    Presented by some of our most experienced Early Childhood educators, the course covers in-depth talks and practical workshops on child development and the art of conscious caring to prepare participants with the necessary foundational knowledge of Steiner/Waldorf education.

    Primary Teaching Foundation (PTF) – first year course

    Part-Time Foundation Course for Teachers, Educators, and Carers of the Primary School Years

    This part-time course provides the fundamentals of Anthroposophical principles. It explores theoretical, practical and artistic modules, delivering a comprehensive experience of Rudolf Steiner Education, with the child at the centre of the curriculum.

    Led by highly regarded and experienced local and international tutors, this first-year annual course covers the essential topics required for Primary Teaching to equip teachers with the skills and knowledge to enter into teaching in a Steiner/Waldorf school, and to support the transition from mainstream into Steiner education.

    The course has been developed to ensure that students are able to complete the course while maintaining a full-time teaching position.

    With the completion of all webinars, seminars and tasks in this first-year Foundation Course (PTFT) and the second-year Certificate Course (PTC) the student will have a Steiner qualification that is recognised in Australia by SEA (Steiner Education Australia).

    Non-teaching participants may opt to enrol in the Lecture-only program (PTFW) which is delivered online through the Webinars.

    Early Childhood Foundation (ECF) – first year course

    This course is for Early Childhood Teachers, Parents and Carers of Young Children

    Led by highly regarded and experienced local and international tutors, this rigorous part-time course covers the essential topics required for early childhood and the foundational principles that underpin the Steiner curriculum.

    The course has been developed to ensure that students are able to complete the course while maintaining a full-time teaching position, and supports the transition from mainstream into Steiner education.

    With the completion of all webinars, seminars and tasks in this first-year Foundation Course (ECFT) and the second-year Certificate Course (ECC) the student will have a Steiner qualification that is recognised both in Australia by SEA and SECA as well as internationally by IASWECE (International Association for Steiner Waldorf Early Childhood Education).

    All families and individuals welcome for a day of active learning of the wisdom of applied biodynamic agriculture in a second follow-on workshop on the beautiful Sarkis’ family farm near Ellalong in the Hunter Region of NSW (45 minutes inland from Newcastle, NSW).

    Learn practical applications and knowledge on biodynamic agriculture and its meaningful celebration of the alchemy of minerals, plants, animals, and humans in nature which offers real solutions to the prevailing question of all ages: “What Can I/We do?” in this promising era.

    Participants will learn biodynamic principles and preparations that can be applied to any environment, from pots on a balcony to a production farm, all while enjoying a day out in the countryside and meeting new friends.

    High School Teaching Foundation (HTF)

    This comprehensive part-time course, developed by leading Steiner/Waldorf educators of the high school years, offers the essential Steiner training to equip High School teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge in Steiner education and teaching to provide a practical and accessible experience of Rudolf Steiner education with the adolescent at the centre of the curriculum.

    The course is a collaboration with Newcastle Waldorf School’s training program for high school teachers, developed and presented by highly experienced Steiner educators, Michael Merle and Sophia Montefiore, and supported by the Pedagogical Section in Australia.
