    Foundation course for Teachers, Educators, and Carers of Children in the Primary years 

    This part-time course introduces the core principles of anthroposophy through theoretical, practical, and artistic modules, offering a well-rounded experience of Rudolf Steiner Education, with the child at the heart of the curriculum.

    Led by respected Australian and international tutors, this first-year program covers essential topics for Primary Teaching, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to begin teaching in a Steiner/Waldorf school or transition from mainstream education.

    Designed to accommodate full-time teachers, the course allows students to complete all components alongside their current roles.

    Upon completing the first-year Foundation Course (PTFT) and second-year Certificate Course (PTC)—including all webinars, seminars, and tasks—students earn a Steiner qualification recognised in Australia by SEA (Steiner Education Australia).

    Non-teaching participants may choose the Lecture-only program (PTFW), delivered online via the Webinars.

    This course is for Early Childhood Teachers, Parents and Carers of Young Children

    Led by highly regarded and experienced local and international tutors, this rigorous part-time course covers the essential topics required for early childhood and the foundational principles that underpin the Steiner curriculum.

    The course has been developed to ensure that students are able to complete the course while maintaining a full-time teaching position, and supports the transition from mainstream into Steiner education.

    With the completion of all webinars, seminars and tasks in this first-year Foundation Course (ECFT) and the second-year Certificate Course (ECC) the student will have a Steiner qualification that is recognised both in Australia by SEA and SECA as well as internationally by IASWECE (International Association for Steiner Waldorf Early Childhood Education).

    Non-teaching participants may opt to enrol in the Lecture-only program (ECFW) which is delivered online through the Webinars.

    High School Teaching Foundation (HTF)

    This comprehensive part-time course, developed by leading Steiner/Waldorf educators of the high school years, offers the essential Steiner training to equip High School teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge in Steiner education and teaching to provide a practical and accessible experience of Rudolf Steiner education with the adolescent at the centre of the curriculum.

    The course is a collaboration with Newcastle Waldorf School’s training program for high school teachers, developed and presented by highly experienced Steiner educators, Michael Merle and Sophia Montefiore, and supported by the Pedagogical Section in Australia.

    On successful completion, students will receive the internationally recognised IASWECE qualification for Steiner/Waldorf Early Childhood education.
