This online course explores the essential role of the class teacher in Steiner education and provides a foundational understanding of curriculum design. Participants will learn how to create and deliver meaningful, developmentally appropriate content, with an overview of key subjects such as mathematics and literacy.
This is a core module in both the Primary Teaching Foundation (Year 1) and Steiner Education at Home courses.

No previous experience is necessary; international students are welcome.
Course Information
Course content for this module includes:
- Main Lesson Introduction
- Joy of numbers introduction – balanced skills and mathematical thinking
- Experiential literacy
- Introducing the child to the natural world
- Indigenous/local diverse culture community program
- Outdoor Education
- Importance of Festivals in Steiner education
Course Duration:Â 8 weeks
Delivery:Â One 1.5-hour online lecture delivered each week
Total Course Hours:
- 12 hours of lectures.
- Additional time for reading/assignments: 3 hours per week (recommended)
Delivery: Online | 8 weekly webinars, 1.5 hours each
