Biodynamic Workshops

All families and individuals are warmly invited to a day of hands-on learning and connection with the land at Newcastle Waldorf School. We will be learning about soil preparations, PH-balancing fertilisers, and ways of working with the weeds and the land to enhance the health of the soil and the produce we grow.

Sunday 26 July

Participants will learn biodynamic principles and preparations that can be applied to any environment, from pots on a balcony to a production farm, all while enjoying a day out in the countryside and meeting new friends.

Presented by highly experienced educator and biodynamics practitioner, Sandra Frain, these practical workshops offer a fun and engaging experience for individuals and families to learn and explore the holistic and regenerative practices of biodynamic agriculture.

This is a workshop for all interest levels and all ages. Be warned, you will be getting your hands dirty!

Time: 9.30am – 2.30pm (all ages welcome)

Our next Biodynamic family workshop will be held at Newcastle Waldorf School, NSW on Sunday 26th July.

Join our experienced biodynamic tutor Sandra Frain to create biodynamic soils that will benefit the vegetation, animals, and school community.

Participate in dynamizing and distributing a PH-enhancing fertiliser made by Class 9 students and local biodynamic farmer Maddie Rideout.

Learn about the weeds on the land and make fertilisers with them.

A stimulating and relaxing occasion: productive educational, social and climate change responsive for the benefit of those attending and the school’s land care.

 

We will also enjoy a shared morning tea and lunch (bring food for yourself and/or to share, and your own utensils) 

A family-friendly workshop for all ages and interest levels.

$130 per family (incl. GST) 

($110 for Newcastle Waldorf School families or repeat course registrants.)

 

About the Tutor

Sandra Frain obtained her Masters in Steiner Education and Certification of Biodynamic Agriculture in Chestnut Ridge, New York. Her Bachelor of Child Study Degree and Drama therapy Certification also inform the Pedagogical work she is known for internationally. Sandra is a passionate connector of people of all ages with nature and the domestic arts locally and internationally. Sandra’s workshops are popular for their wisdom, skill development, and fun.
