Positive Discipline: Effective and Caring Behavioural Management with Lou Harvey Zara

Classroom management can be the most challenging part of a teacher’s life. It is also the cornerstone of effective teaching. To gain the most enjoyment, engagement and focus in each lesson and to foster positive relationships with students, teachers require practical tools and support. In this course, participants will gain practical
skills and classroom management strategies for developing their own effective and positive classroom discipline system. They will learn how to strengthen teacher and student relationships, create positive classroom routines, teach appropriate social and emotional skills to students, and to transform everyday classroom behavior in a respectful and caring manner. The aim is for participants to leave feeling more inspired, confident and ready to
provide a learning environment for all students. Completing this course will contribute 5.5 hours of registered PD addressing Standard Descriptors 4.1.2, 4.2.2, 4.3.2 3.5.2 7.3.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for
