The Art of Caring: Working with Children under Three

This course explores the manifold tasks and gestures of caregiving for children under three. The main focus is on working on the quality aspect of providing care and enhancing the knowledge of the participants on the development of the young child. Part of the work with young children is the inner preparation of the adult and the external preparation of the environment. Rhythm, play and movement are all essential to our study along with a keen appreciation of the art of observing. Practical activities include making a simple doll and creating a collection of lullabies. We will also explore the important question on how parents, carers and educators can work together.

This is a two-part in-person weekend workshop at Sydney Rudolf Steiner College in Sydney.
