Course Outline

Understanding the four temperament characteristics is important for teachers when managing the classroom environment. This course will help teachers to:

  • bring out the best in each temperament within the classroom environment
  • use knowledge of the temperaments to improve teacher-student relationships
  • use knowledge of the temperaments to improve learning outcomes
  • apply knowledge of the temperaments to improve teaching styles

This course aims to inform participants on the range of Temperament characteristics within students in each classroom. To understand the stages of child development through general ‘Temperament’ periods and individual student characteristics means that teachers are able to improve classroom management and learning outcomes for each child.
