Nurturing Early Childhood – Seasonal Workshop

for Parents, Carers & Aspiring Teachers

An introductory short course on early childhood.

 

No previous study or experience is necessary

Join us in Sydney for four nourishing seasonal Saturdays beginning with inspiring and stimulating talks based on the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, followed by artistic and craft activities that feed our inner desire to be creative as well as develop our skills for home or education environments.

 

Cost is $160 (incl. GST) per Saturday.

 

If all weekends are completed credit is given towards the Early Childhood Teaching Foundation course (ECF).

(NEC1) –  Saturday 26 March

Fruits of Our Labours:

In the autumn we gather together to harvest the fruits of the summer’s bounty with gratitude for the nourishment the earth provides.

In this workshop you’ll learn about nutrition and biodynamic processes. You’ll also be baking some bread.

(NEC2) – Saturday 7 May

Practising the Arts:

We celebrate the warmth, the sunshine and explore our creative practices.

In these workshops you’ll learn about the art of storytelling with expert storyteller Ebba Bodame, and write your own story. You’ll also explore clay modelling and experience how, working with the sense of Touch, and the forces of Movement, the gesture of Form emerges, takes shape and comes into being.

By the Fire:

In the winter as the earth rests we draw around the hearth, closer to ourselves and to each other, igniting our inner light.

In this workshop you’ll explore the wisdom that lives in Fairytales with a talk by Bec Whitcombe, along with wet felting. You’ll also explore a Fairytale in movement with Eurythmist, Adam Chan.

(NEC4) – Saturday 12 November

Creating and Crafting:

The arrival of spring brings the beauty and freshness of new growth and potential, a time of new beginnings, fresh outlooks and slowly expanding days.

In this workshop you’ll learn about nature tables and creating seasonal tables. You’ll also learn the craft of doll-making
